Photography by E.W. Faircloth That's Dottie Harper, President of Brookfield Homes, at meeting today to discuss status of our Fitness Center and a few other things. Our community has been without the Fitness Center for some weeks since it was flooded when a water pipe burst during very frigid temperatures. If I heard right, we will not only get a new floor in Zumba area but mirrors, balance bars, and places to store other items in that space. We will now lease new machines instead of purchasing equipment used for weight training, and other major pieces. This way, we can keep up-to-date and spend less. Since the Fitness Center was to be remodeled anyway during building of new "Eagle Springs" section, the flooding mishap provides an opportunity. That's an opportunity to remodel and rebuilt the center at the same time. Dottie squashed a few rumors today, also. I remember was about "Doc In A Box." Word on the street was H.S. would have a doctor at the Fitness Center on occasion. Not true. What we may have is a medical professional show up maybe a few days a week. The whole fitness scene in Heritage Shores is going to go top notch. Blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring, I think I heard. Outside equipment for activities related to healthy lifestyles. The list just goes on ... Dottie delivered answers to our questions, today. Not only did she pass out information on some serious issues, but at times made everyone laugh, including herself. This is a great place to live, and getting better:)
