Our march is not yet finished. But we're getting closer: Thousands gather to see Obama mark the 50th anniversary of Selma Bloody Sunday March President Barack Obama today declared 'America's fight for civil rights 'is not yet ended, but we're getting closer' Commemorated 50th anniversary of march in Selma, Alabama, that paved the way for the 1965 Voting Rights Act Honored 'brave' marchers and encouraged young Americans to carry forward the spirit of Civil Rights Movement Thousands of people had gathered to hear Obama, first black US president, give speech at Edmund Pettus Bridge He was joined by his wife, First Lady Michelle, daughters Sasha and Malia, and around 100 members of Congress Ex-President George W. Bush and Congressman John Lewis - who was injured in march - also pictured at bridge After speech, Obama joined marchers in a re-enactment of the historic bridge walk, with sleeves rolled up in sun The group sang as they walked; at one point, Bush looked at Obama and joked: 'Tell him he's walking too fast'   ----------------- Above taken from The Daily Mail, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2984327 -------------- Are we  getting closer? If so why would Diane Nash crucify George Bush without mentioning the first biracial president, President Obama?  This unworthy Nobel Peace Prize winner has targeted more folks with illegal drones than George Bush ever did.  The "American" version of imperialism continues loot, and kill around the world on his watch. He sends military equipment to Africa, while China builds railroads.  The economic warfare against Venezuela, Cuba, Zimbabwe, Russia, and others continue bring misery to those which would dare be independent. Libya was ruined by President Obama and Hilary "we came, we saw, he died" Clinton. Maybe Diane hasn't noticed the misdeeds by President Obama.  Maybe she's so happy to see a mixed race president in office that's she's blind to any evil by him. Either way, we haven't come far and aren't getting closer to The Dream, or at least not the one Dr. Martin Luther King had.
