On page 5 of The Seaford Star, Thursday June 26, 2014 is a picture of Jason Feller, General Manager of Heritage Shores presenting a check to Western Sussux Boys and Girls Club executive director, Chris Couch.  On June 11, Heritage Shores hosted a guest bartender event to benefit the Western Sussex Boys and Girls Club.  Sussex Council president Mike Vincent and Don Tricarico of Nanticoke Health Services were guest Bartenders for the evening.  The check represents the tips collected during the event. That shot would be called  a "grip and grin" by many newspaper photographers.  A picture of the two bartenders working the night of June 11th would have been more interesting.  It was not my picture, by the way. It's not that  I'm one to show a better example.  On page 12, the same edition of The Star, is an E.W. Faircloth "grip and grin" of the Heritage Shores Ladies Member Guest Golf Assoc. presenting a $3,000 check to the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department. I don't think it would have been easy to tell the 12 beautiful women present of a possible better picture. That might have been  a close-up of the the check partially sticking out the cup on 18th, with a golf ball just about to fall in cup.   Since folks read captions under newspaper pictures, it would have explained they gave the three grand to Fire Department. Maybe, next year I'll try to "sell" them on that idea:)       // // More can be seen on my blog: Picture_This!   //
