This 1991 AFP photo shows Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on the phone.  It was a time before his country tasted the USA/British version of Democracy destined for the Middle East. If he was still alive, today he might ask "how's that invasion working for ya?" The corporate media has crowned the ISIL,  Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, as the new boogeyman.  It is 100 times worst than Al Qaeda, or so they say.  This is the same group the US State Dept. was more than happy to see in Syria. Things aren't that bad in Iraq.  Oil fields in Kirkurk have been  taken over by the Kurds, friends of the USA.  Oil fields in Southern Iraq are still under control by the Iraqi government, friends of the USA.  You've got Muslim killing Muslims on the verge of civil war.  That's gotta' make "real American patriots" happy.  An aircraft carrier is on the way.  The arms merchants must be wetting their pants. Just the thought of all those sorties being flown and bombs dropped, I'm (Shock and Awe)ed.  Ca ching, ca ching, ... // // More can be seen on my blog: Picture_This! //
