The other day my wife told me "you're not wearing those shoes anymore." I loved those old shoes as we've spent years together and they were quite comfortable. Yesterday I needed to  attend a photography seminar in Rehoboth Beach DE. My wife says I have "selective hearing" so I decided to wear my favorite shoes, anyway.  It seemed they needed a little shine to perk 'em up.  So I got out the brown shoe polish and swabbed the left shoe heavily.  As I was laying the polish on the right shoe, a gaping hole in the heel appeared.  I had never seen it before.  Maybe that's the reasoning of my wife's directive. I finally heard what she said:)
