For most of my Heritage Shores neighbors and I, we never ate a meal in the above diner.  We've just seen it sitting there unused.  Today I noticed it was up on wheels being prepared to be transported to a place unknown.  It was purchased by a company which will refurbish and resale it. It is being removed to make space for a new WAWA, a convenience store. The Bridgeville Diner, was built by Jerry O'Mahoney, according to a blog post by a Canadian, Spencer, who loves diners. As seen on Wikipedia "The Jerry O'Mahony Diner Company of Elizabeth, New Jersey, whose motto was "In our line, We lead the world", was said to have produced 2,000 diners from 1917 to 1941, and became the largest manufacturer of its period. The roadside diners referred to are long, narrow, primarily metal buildings ..." I'm sure longtime residents of Bridgeville and surrounding communities could give more stories concerning the diner.  For now, though, it looks like it's history.
