Construction crews put down a 3-in. layer of asphalt on my street today. The builder promised to put the final asphalt coating down once the last home is built on a street. That happened over 6 years ago on my street. One of the construction crew came over to me since he spotted me taking pictures using a measuring tape. "What are you doing" he ask me. With a smile I reply "I'm taking pictures." A better question might have been "why are you taking pictures?" I show him this picture and explained that I live in the neighborhood and submit pictures to our community newsletter. He was put at ease. I'm guessing he thought I worked for a newspaper or was verifying how much asphalt they were putting down.
