This post is about wasting other folks time :) I've forgotten exactly what I was doing when the phone rang around 6:30 p.m. The female caller first ask for my wife. When I replied she was not home, the caller then asked for Mr. Faircloth. Then she inquired if she could ask a few questions about the 2010 Toyota Prius we owned. I politely said yes. The next question was how many miles had we put on the vehicle. I told her that it was around 90,000 miles. She asked again and I gave the same reply. Next, she told me to hold on while she put her supervisor on. Maybe in 15 seconds or less a male voice was asking how many miles were on our 2010 Prius. Once I again I said "90,000 miles." He says that's a lot of miles, and I tell him that my wife drives a lot. The next question he ask is "are you thinking about replacing it." I say "we sold it alread." After a slight pause he asks "why didn't you tell the girl?" I say, in a calm voice, "you were smart enough to know I owned a 2010 Prius, so I figured you were smart enough to know I sold it." With that, he responded " you have a good evening, Sir." Click!
