Sometimes you have to tweak your pictures after shooting them. We used to do that in the darkroom when using film and enlargers. Today we can use pixel editing software such as GIMP or Adobe Photoshop or Elements. I'll post a couple examples this in the coming months. My first example show the original untouched image followed by the same image retouched in Adobe Photoshop. Which photograph do you think was shot by a serious amateur or professional? I thought so. The image on the left was shot with just enough flash(lighting unit) to NOT wash out the projector screen. The projector screen was first selected, then had colors and contrast enhanced. Next, everything except the projector screen was selected. That selection was brightened and a little color correction made. Additional efforts were placed on the bagpipers face.
