What a wonderful night of music from The Spanish Harlem Orchestra  at Halloway Hall Auditorium on the campus of Salisbury Univ.  This is one of the most formidable and authentic Latin jazz combos of today.  Since its inception, the Grammy Award-winning group has established itself as a standard bearer of contemporary Latin music.  Directed by the world-renowned pianist, arranger and producer Oscar Hernandez, the 13-member all-star ensemble has reintroduced the classic sound of New York City Salsa to music lovers world wide. The concert was part of activities at Salisbury University celebrating Latino Heritage Month with a series of special events in September and October, including a salsa instruction series, documentary screening, and a  Hispanic heritage dinner.
