I saw this artificial skeleton in an exam room of Mears, a lab, in Seaford DE. Recently, I hurt my shoulder on the driving range of all places. While the physical therapist examined me, she used the "teaching tool" or model to explain my injury. She feels I've slightly damaged one muscle in the Rotator Cuff region. Don't worry, she says I'll be fine in about a month with treatment. "A torn Rotator Cuff is a prime example of a condition that involves chronic re-injury. This re-injury takes place whenever you put even a small load on your arm or attempt to stretch the newly healed and still fragile shoulder tissue. Even the slightest movement in the wrong direction will make your situation worse. Many days of healing can be wiped out by a momentary motion in the wrong direction. You know that sudden sharp pain all too well, and every time you feel it you are setting back the clock on healing." -- http://www.kingbrand.com It has to be true about easily re-injuring the shoulder tissue. Only yesterday I tried to swat a gnat out of reflexes. The pain shot through my should as if I were back on the driving range that fateful day.
