This is the screen to confirm while closing my Facebook account. Yes, Facebook was a lot of fun.  It allowed me to keep up with friends as far away as South Africa.  My rants and soapbox politics were pushed onto my Facebook friends with glee.  Heck,  Facebook even helped drive readers to this blog. Why close the account, then? Privacy and control. I don't have much control over USA intelligence  outfits such as FBI, CIA, NSA snooping my digital communications, but... I can close my Facebook account. By the way, if enough people decide the intelligence agencies need to be put on shorter leashes, they could make it happen.
