Hindsight tells me my newest grandson was thinking  "somebody close the blinds, please." He was born in New Jersey today, July 13th 2013. He was in a very brightroom with wall with floor-to-ceiling glass on one side.  The nurses let family members hold him.  He kept his eyes closed mostly.  As soon as he and his mother were in a darkened hallway transferring to their hospital room for the next few days, he opened his eyes, and looked around. A little trivia: he was 8 lbs even.
