I'm on a DIY project, you know, do it yourself. We had new wood flooring placed over an existing floor after a second floor leak. The installers didn't do a good job re-seating the toilet in a powder room. Of course, this lead to warped flooring in that bathroom. We had the company come out and replace the wood. A month late the wood started warping again. This time we had the wood flooring in bathroom removed. The problem was caused by moisture from the bottom of toilet around the wax seal, not any overflow. Now, I'm replacing the wood with porcelain tile. I don't want wood in a bathroom or kitchen floor, as it's only a matter of time before water is spilled onto them. Gone are the days you could mop your floors with a bucket of water.
