My first book review went on to an Amazon.com product I had purchased. Here it is: I thought this was an awful book to learn assembly language usage on a Pi. The author seems to have repackaged some of his other writing on assembly language. The book has nothing to do with a Raspberry Pi. There is not one example dealing specifically with a Pi. No mention of Pi's GPIO, timer, etc. At least I learned how to write an assembly language program to switch an infrared LED, triggering my Nikon D70 camera remotely. But it was not from this book but a "free" tutorial from [...]. I'm a novice looking for help and this book was a disappointment. At least one person found my review helpful, according to Amazon.com. Why was I so hard on the author? After this  receiving book, I found it gave no examples specific to the Raspberry Pi that would help me with my project.  That computer project is photo related.  I bought this book because the cover suggests it would be helpful instructing use of assembly language on a Raspberry Pi. NOT!  As my review states, I was able to build something complicated instead using a free online tutorial by Alex Chadwick of Cambridge Univ. I take this little Raspberry Pi, about the  size of a credit card   and get it to behave like a TV remote.   After seeing a drop of water passing, the Pi should trigger my camera and hopefully I will be able to photograph the drop falling into a bowl, freezing the splash. Yeah, I know it's been done before, but as soon as I do it, guess what I'm posting here.
