I decided to turn on a Spanish language station to listen to speakers in a non-class room environment. It only annoyed me off. My first verb thought but not used started with a "p", had two "s"s in the middle, and ended with a "d." According to a Wikipedia article -- A common joke in the United States, among both Hispanics and non-Hispanics alike, is the presence of more blonde and blue-eyedpresenters and actors on US-based Spanish-language television networks such as Telemundo and Univision than on the English-language networks such as NBC, CBS, ABC, or Fox Venezuela elected Hugo Chavez, and Bolivia has Evo Morales as the the President. In fact, both these officials get most of their support from people who look like them and not the folks on Spanish TV. It has not gone unnoticed by me that a lot of Mexican Americans more look like Evo Morales and not Congressman Marco Rubio, a Cuban American. Spanish speaking folks have a variety physical attributes. It would be nice to see a balance on TV. Wikipedia.com is polite calling actions by Spanish language stations "colonial mentality." Es loco!
