Here is Wayne learning to do Cha Cha ballroom style.  He learned to Cha Cha as a teenager.  He didn't take dance lessons then but has been able to be out on the dance floor a long time doing the "street" version of Cha Cha. Cha Cha grew out of Mambo which is similar to Salsa. In Mambo and Salsa is a pause between steps.  Cha Cha fills in the pause with three little steps(cha cha cha). He has never wanted to look like the guys who do Ballroom dancing.  He doesn't watch Dancing With Stars  because it upsets him just watching those guys doing Cha Cha and Salsa.  They all look alike, with their hip spasms, yuck! So why is learning to style his Cha Cha in that ballroom fashion? Well, he's dancing with The Delmarva Stars fund raising event again this year, and just might pick Cha Cha as the dance routine.  If Wayne does do Cha Cha, he will dance a few measure in ballroom style then switch to a more natural, down to earth, feel the music, show your stuff, "make the ladies holler" style of street Cha Cha. This will be part of his strategy, to deliver to the judges the expected form of Cha Cha then take it up a notch.
