Photography by E.W. Faircloth This was the last evening Brenda, Margo and Nancy would be together in Bobo Dioulasso.  Margo, Brenda and I would leave Nancy behind the next morning for Ouagadougou, where we would spend Friday night with Frank and Pepi.  On Saturday night Brenda would leave for the USA a few hours before us on different plane.  She would have a stopover in Brussels, while Air France would land us in JFK after one long hop. The taxi driver, Ibrahim, met Nancy, Brenda and Brother Sougue at the bus station when they first arrived in Bobo Dioulasso 9 months ago.  Everybody like him, took his number, and have used him ever since.  He's such a friendly and pleasant person.  He almost lost his taxi awhile back a some soldiers on a rampage forced him out of his taxi and took it.  They abandoned it a few block later, as only he knows how to keep it running smoothly.  Sometimes, on trips, I thought it would be our last ride.  He bought the Mercedes used and put another engine(used) in it.  It runs roughly as if gasping for air at times.
