The Free Dictionary by Farlexstates procrastination is: To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness. Another definition: To postpone or delay needlessly. So when I kept forgetting to re-seat a smoke alarm for about 2 weeks, we could say it was procrastination on my part.  It wasn't that I couldn't see it while laying in bed.
