I'm waiting for the crowd to show up at Anthony's in Rehoboth Beach DE. They have Latin Night there on Friday nights. Margo and I usually stand out before we're usually the only African Americans found in club besides the big bouncer. But since we can handle ourselves on the dance floor, we fit right in the much younger crowd. She and I know salsa, cha cha, merengue and bachata. I'm trying to learn cumbia, since most of the patrons do this dance. Margo can follow anything so as soon as I teach myself this dance, we will rule the floor. Why did I take this self-portrait? Well, it was to show how empty the place is around 10:00 p.m. If this was a ballroom dance somewhere, the crowd would be getting ready to leave. However, young folks seem to not be able to go anywhere before 10:30 at night. We like to arrive early and get a table to sit. The idea of standing for hours doesn't appeal to us. Around 12:00 a.m. the floor will be very crowded with little room to dance. That's our signal to pack up.
