Tags: I see it this way! Heritage Shores Bridgville De E.W. Faircloth photography photographer walk outside bench
Photography by E.W. Faircloth Does the above picture looked staged? Duh! Here's the story behind stroke of genius.(Work with me on this one): A few days ago I notice new concrete pads being placed around the community near sidewalks. Once the new benches were in place, my mystery was solved. Being the photographer committed to documenting life in Heritage Shores, I needed a picture of a bench for my body of work.(All the great artists have a body of work:) ) I was satisfied with the top picture because the bench felt lonely, without a person seated. But I also decided to take a photograph with a person sitting on one of the benches. Lucky me saw one of our residents walking near a bench. I stopped her and asked if she would sit on the bench. She knew me to be a resident and not some guy driving an unmarked van handing out candy and free rides. She wasn't going for it, explaining she was dressed just right. While standing discussing her excuse, I see Thomas driving by on his way to work. He's one of the nicest guys around. I stop him and ask him to sit on bench. So if he looks like a deer frozen by oncoming headlights, it's because he was ambushed by me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it:)
