Tags: I see it this way! food grandson daughter cookie pancake nephew
One a recent visit back to New Jersey I stopped in to see my daughter and her nephew, my grandson. She and he had gone to a bakery before I arrived around lunch time. While at lunch, she told my they bought a cookie for me. I love cookies, especially those with nuts. My imagination saw a oatmeal raisin cookie full of nuts or a chocolate chip cookie with macadamia nuts. As I was about to return home she remembered the cookie and offered it to me. Well, the only thing I saw was a pancake. I flashed back to the times when both of my daughters would go to iHop or some other pancake place and get the pancakes made to look like Happy Faces. You know, a pancake with two half-cherries for eyes and a half-moon shaped dab of whipped cream as the mouth. The only thing I saw was a pancake. My daughter didn't seem too be offended by my hesitation and quickly asked my grandson if he wanted it. He did. He saved me:)
