This is the son of a fisherman.  Actually, his mother likes to fish also. My grandson has a great imagination, so putting a paint stirring stick on some fishing line proved to be a hit. He was a little upset when he had to stop fishing a come inside. As he jerked the stick around, it seemed like a real fish on the line. No wasted money on electronic teaching toys here, just old-fashioned fun.
