That's Stephen W. Klyce or "Dr. Music" as he is professionally known. The good Doctor was preforming tonight at the Heritage Shores Clubhouse in Bridgeville DE. Friday nights many times has live music provided at the Clubhouse. I decided not to use electronic flash to get a picture of Dr. Music. It would be too distracting while he played. And don't like to draw attention to myself when photographing folks in public places. The room was was warm and cozy. Warm and cozy translates to "dark" for photographers. I had to use a slow shutter speed to capture images. Since I wanted to "catch" this musician doing his thing without posing, there were two I needed do. One was to not move my camera, and the other to photograph him at a moment he wasn't moving. Sounds simple enough, right? It's simple in theory but luck and chance also enters the equation. My 30 plus years of experience has shown me to expect to take more than one "snap" to get what I want. So, tonight after about 30 picture the Doctor turns to me, continues to play and says "you're taking a lot of pictures". My response with a smile "yeah, but I need one good one".
