Months ago when our grandson came to visit, his grandmother and I bought him a tricycle.  It was too big so we bought him another smaller one. Well as I've come to learn, sized doesn't matter many times.  Being only about 2 years old, he wasn't ready to ride a tricycle at the time.  He could sit on one and reach the pedals but it didn't click with him that the pedals made it move.  Even if grandfather pushed, he had no sense of steering his vehicle.  Well, I'm proud to announce that now,  a few months later, he can pedal on his own power. Not only that but can steer 15 or 20 feet on the sidewalk when not distracted by lawn sprinkler heads and such.   I'm sure the next time he comes I'll have to jog behind him to keep up.
