Above is a drop of water hitting my concrete patio as it fell from melting snow on a bench. Now there are high speed cameras which can stop a speeding bullet in flight, but I can't afford equipment like that.  So, I had to make the above picture the old fashioned way. I had to press the camera button at the right time. While noticing the drops were falling at a steady rate, I only needed to press the button just as the drop hit the concrete. Besides timing, luck or coincidence had a lot to do with getting a photograph like this. Looking over 10-15 tries, the one above seemed like a contender. Like a keeper:) This exercise was a dry-run for an assignment planned in the next Heritage Shores newsletter.  The editor wants me to take pictures of rain drops to illustrate "April Showers Bring May Flowers".
