If you go to St. Maarten, drop by and visit Boo Boo Jam which is frequented by the locals. The food is not bad and the dance floor is usually full. There's ample parking and the house band will start again in January. We were there the last night before the band took a break for the Holidays. Sunday afternoons is popular here. Who in the heck drinks Heineken? I think Boo Boo Jam must get paid for the advertisement seen above. I had a Presidente myself. That's a Dominican beer. Next time I go to St. Maarten I'll drink a few Red Stripes, a Jamaican beer. Avoid the French restaurant in Philipsburg St. Maarten called Antoine. For the above normal prices, the food was so-so and the wine disappointing. For all you salsa dancers out there, a club called The Alley and Hang Out has a lesson on Thursday nights. Latin Night is Saturday. The floor isn't great as it's of ceramic tile This joint is next to Pineapple Pete's which also has a house band. Pete's is located near Simpson Bay not too far from the Flamingo Beach Hotel and Resort. We didn't eat there but every night it's crowded. The food must be good.
