Tonight we had a meeting of Vine Chasers II.  This is the second wine tasting group at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville DE. We meet and everyone brings a dish.  This is right down my alley as I like wines and cooking.  We decided to have dessert wines  tonight and everyone was to bring something sweet. "Presentation is everything" as they say in the cooking business.  So I decided to make oatmeal cookiess from the recipe inside  the box top of Quaker Oats called Vanishing Cookies. I knew some of my buddies would bake cakes, custards, and all sorts of goodies. How could I make my dish stand out? I decided to think out of the box and not present my dessert on a serving dish like everyone else.  Why not use the oatmeal box itself? I enjoy doing new things and since I had never seen anyone server oatmeal cookies out of a box I'm taking credit for this creation. Feel free to use at your next party but remember to give credit to that retired photographer now living in Delaware:)
