Wayne Bush sits and reads his newspaper.  Wayne and I worked together at the Philadelphia Daily News for years. He was the lab tech who cared much about the people, the job and the paper during his years there.  We both took a buyout in 2005.  A buyout is when the company pays you to leave to reduce its workforce.  Since we were both close to retirement age, we took the money and ran. Now, everything has increased price wise but we're living on fixed incomes. Neither of us miss the stress, poor morale and seeing the paper constantly become irrelevant. Note the sunflowers growing in pots.  When you live in a row house, sometimes there's no front yard to plant. In front of your house are only the steps, the sidewalk and the street. That row house, by the way, would have sold for over $350,000 before the housing market went south. Wayne lives in a neighborhood where the upscale, the trendy, and the beautiful have targeted as a good place to live in Philly.
