My 55+ community, Heritage Shores of Bridgeville DE, held a Patriot Day celebration tonight.  Armed forces people were invited to play golf and attend a dinner this evening. Residents were invited to bring pictures of themselves to dinner if they served in the armed forces or if they had children which have.  The pictures above were placed on stage and provided some fun,  and knowledge of residents military backgrounds. One resident even wore an old uniform. It was a full house and everyone seemed to have a great time. Why am I confused? Well, a Wikipedia search found Patriot's Day which was celebrated on April 19th.  It was only this year that Patriot Day was started by Congress and President George "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" Bush. Click the link to read the proclamation. After a standing rendition of God Bless America it was time for me to leave. By then, I had enough pictures for our community newsletter and one for my blog.
