"Keep  your eye on the ball" is the advice given by many golfers.  I've keep my eye on the ball and still completely missed it, or dug out a 2 inch deep divot. Maybe it should be "face the ball". That is,  to allow the face of your golf club to hit the ball while executing a great swing. A good swing is what hits the ball.  According to Mark Solomon of World Golf.com you can actually hit the ball with your eyes closed if your swing is consistent. I'll have to practice this little trick on the driving range. Oh yeah, Margo hit the above ball.
