Forgive me for another post on the concert in Virginia Beach, VA.  Above is what I saw from the nose bleed section of the Sandler Center For The Performing Arts. This concert headlined Wilton Felder of the Crusaders. Beside the disappointment of Felder's music the woman behind me kept taking pictures using her flash unit.  We're in the upper rafters, for Christ's sake. She has a 35mm type camera with an external flash unit. It's not some small disposable which will automatically set the flash off. Why am I annoyed? The theater is pitch black and every time her flash goes off I'm blinded by the balcony 3 feet in front of me being lit up like the noon day sun.  I should have taken it from her and threw it at Felder.  That way I could have removed two things that annoyed me. OK people, here's a FREE photo tip for those who attend and take pictures at concerts: If you're more than 15 rows from the stage, SAVE YOUR BATTERIES, and turn off your stupid flash units.  The amount of light from a amateur flash unit beyound 25 feet is negligable on stage. It not only annoys the performers but the people sitting next to you as well. The best thing to get pictures if the light is very low is to hold your camera steady and wait for peaks/pauses in motion from the performer.
