Robert C. Hicks is a painter who's making our house have "curb appeal". It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do to help sell a home. Most of the buyers today want to see their dream home while driving by. That, or when they pull up with the real estate agent. If the color is from 30 years ago many will balk. Same thing about the interior. I had to take down 5 room of wallpaper. Most see wall paper as something of the past. They're watching too many of those house makeover shows. Let's get real here. How much does it take to repaint a room? Thank goodness my generation could see the "potential" of a house. The house we're now selling was in sad shape when we bought it. First thing we did was rip out most of the carpet, repainted every room in the house, laid down new floors, put in a french drain, and the list goes on. That "sweat" equity is paying off as we get ready to move on.
