The July 4th fireworks show at Heritage Shores can be seen behind the clubhouse . This is a 55+ community in Bridgeville DE. I saw a picture in our newsletter with only fireworks and no buildings. This could mean the picture was just clip art and not shot at our community. I decided to go to 4th of July celebration this year and put a location reference in picture. If all went well, next year the newsletter could show a fireworks picture with a Heritage Shores landmark, our clubhouse. Planning is everything, right? The fireworks were to start at 9:30 p.m. I decided to arrive at early 8:00 and setup in front of the building, since fireworks would be in rear. Upon my arrival I see a rescue squad truck smack-dab in the middle of my shot. What the ...? I find the driver, explain my intentions and he's nice enough to move the vehicle out of my shot. Smooth sailing, right? Not exactly. There's a thunder storm coming through the area. So for another hour the only light show is provided by Mother Nature in the form of lightning strikes and thunder. Finally the rain stops and the show goes on. Then it all goes as planned.
