This is the Hot House Jazz Band after performing at the Smyrna Opera House in Smyrna, Delaware Saturday evening January 19, 2008. This trio may not look like your traditional jazz trio but they are excellent. The tuba player acts or rather sounds like a bassist. Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Benny Goodman would be proud of these guys. What about the free tickets? Oh yeah. I was listening to the jazz station out of Princess Anne, WESM, when I heard the DJ offer free tickets to hear the band. I called on my cell and asked for two tickets. I didn't have long to wait. In less than four rings someone answered and took my information. I was told to pick up tickets at the Will Call Window. Since we didn't have to spend money on the show, my wife and I decided to have dinner out before we arrived. It was a good evening. Priceless.
