That's Klaus Wittauer, a wine importer from Austria. Heritage Shores in Bridgeville Delaware has wine tastings on a regular basis. Klaus was showing Austrian wines which tasted good to me, but what do I know about wines? I may learn soon as there's a second wine tasting club starting up soon in Heritage Shores. Besides water aerobics, the wine tasting club gets good attendance. The next time I have people over I'll get a bottle of "Samling 88 -- Scheurebe".This is something very different made from 100% Scheurebe. The Scheurebe grape is a cross of Riesling and Sylvania developed by Dr. Scheu in the year of 1916. As soon as the cork is pulled, rich aromas of peaches and wild flowers leap out of the bottle and fill the room. This lead to ripe peach and stone fruit flavors with excellent acidic structure and a full dry finish. Let's cut to the chase: It's about $10.00 a bottle. Picture taken with my sidekick, the Canon PowerShot SD400. No flash used as I didn't want take attention away from the speaker. Also usage of the flash would have blown out the glasses and put Klaus into a black hole. It's a little grainy because of the low light that was available. It was hand-held plus the focusing-lock function was used. I pre-focused on Klaus and then place camera on table below the glasses and pressed the shutter completely. My motto: If you see it, you can shoot it!
