It seems a few residents at my new community are so patriotic that they insist the USA flag be taken down at night if it's not well lighted. The law states otherwise. But that didn't stop a little band of flag wavers from terrorizing the home owners association's point person. It seems she had to pay out of her own pockets for someone to take down the flag every night until lights are installed. According to her "This really grew into a monster. I'm still getting negative emails. I'm now being called unpatriotic or worse, but it's because those few don't have all the facts. It will calm with time." Me, myself and I don't hold a piece of multi-colored fabric in such high regards. It's a symbol nothing else. Maybe once the group get lights for the USA flag at night they can go to work on some issues of substance for the community. There are a bunch of unlit street lights in the neighborhood that need to be repaired. Evidently they have not seen them. I guess I can these people "blind patriots".
