My first grandchild, Lhann David, II looks as if he's saying "hi grandfather". He's arrived about 11:00 p.m. on Monday night, September 22, 2007 at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees NJ. Don't ask me "how much did he weigh"? Grandmothers know that kind of information. I know he was healthy and very alert. There were a ton of people in the hospital for his arrival. Both grandfathers, both grandmothers, and three aunts were there for support. And then there were people who expected to updated by text messaging and phone as soon as the little handsome rascal appeared. Whatever happened to a woman getting up early to work in the fields, stopping to have a baby and then continue pick'n cotton in the afternoon? Just kidding:) Maya Ebony David, his mother, is doing very well. She is getting some needed rest. Lhann David, his father, is going well also. The baby looks a lot like his father and grandmother on his father's side. I'm sure the senior Lahnn will buy his son baseballs, basketballs, fishing gear and such. I'm getting him a miniature set of golf clubs.
