This aint't no pretty picture. No butts about it. A container for spent cigarette butts is overfilled and prompts me to reminisce. At one time I was smoking over 3 packs a day. Benson & Hedges 100's was my brand. How did I stop?  Will power worked for me.  No nicotine patch, gum or other aid.  A vacation in the Poconos provided an opportunity to not buy cigarettes for a week.  A family of friends, Margo and I  had the fortune to vacation in upstate Pennsylvania a long time ago.  After we arrived I didn't buy cigarettes when I finished my last pack.  It was my last pack.  I knew that if I smoked only 1 cigarette I would continue. So I've never had another.  I had attempted to quit numberous times before. The first week was the worst.  Even a few years later smoke smelled good.  Now, I can't stand the smell.
